Hi, welcome to VisiHow. Today I'm going to teach you how to message a friend using the Snapchat application on the iPhone 6.
To begin, press the Lock button on the right-hand side of the phone.
Alternatively, we can unlock our phone by pressing the round button at the bottom of the screen.
Swipe to the right to enter your passcode.
As an alternative to entering your passcode, put your finger on the Home button to use the fingerprint scanner.
Find the Snapchat icon on the home screen.
In this example, the home screen is customized and might look a bit different. In this example, it is located in the Social folder. The icon is yellow with the shape of a white ghost in the center. Tap it once to open the application.
Tap and drag the screen to the right.
Alternatively, if we have a received message waiting, we can tap on the red button at the bottom-left corner of the screen.
The number on the button indicates the number of messages that are waiting to be seen.
Tap and hold a received message to open it.
As we can see in this example, our friend has sent us something and we are notified of that due to the fact that the square on the left side of their name is highlighted in red. In this example, the picture has a timer that limits the amount of time we can view the picture.
Tap and drag a message to the right to reply to a message.
Tap and drag the screen up to see previously sent messages.
In the messages, the pictures won't have a timer on them.
Type a message to send.
As we can see, other chats that we have sent have been opened and delivered but we can't access them now because the time has run out.
If we want to add a photo, we can tap on the yellow icon with a white circle in it.
Tap and hold the button while it is blue to send a live video.
When you are done typing the message, tap on the blue 'Send' button at the bottom-right corner of the screen.
To go back, tap and drag the screen to the left.
The small blue arrow on the left side of the name indicates that the message has been sent.
Tap and drag the screen to the left to go back again.
This will take us to the camera screen that we started from.
Now you know how to message a friend using the Snapchat application on the iPhone 6.
If you have any questions or comments please enter them in the section below. Thank you for using VisiHow, goodbye.
