Questions and Answers

When messages are sent to Facebook messenger, do they also get sent to the person's email? I have sent a friend messages via messenger, it is showing sent, but not delivered?

When a message is sent via messenger, does the recipient also get the message in an email? How can I confirm that they do?

It is possible to receive messages to your email address once you log out of or time out of Facebook (something like 15 minutes after closing the web site). To set up receiving email, one has to click the top-right corner and select "Settings", click "Notifications" and "Email", and customize it. Afterwards, he or she can read the message right from his or her email box, and Facebook will not register it as "read". There are no means to find out whether the person has read it or not.
