Edited by Kara, Gordon, Eng, Anonymous
Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to manage tags and tagging suggestions on Facebook while using the iPhone 6.
Turn on the screen and unlock the phone to view the Home screen.
In this example, we will use the fingerprint scanner on the Home button.
Tap the Facebook icon to open the application.
The Facebook icon has a blue background with a white "f" on it.
Facebook will open to the News Feed.
From here we need to go to the main menu of the application.
Tap the "More" icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Scroll down to the "SETTINGS" section of the menu.
Tap "Timeline and Tagging" in the second section of the Account Settings.
The first section will allow you to set up and manage who can add things to our timeline.
Tap "Who can post on your timeline" to set who can post on our timeline.
In this example, we have enabled the option for our friends to post on our timeline. For example, if it is our birthday and they want to say "happy birthday" to us, they can post that on our wall.
Tap the back arrow in the top left corner of the screen to return to the previous screen.
Tap "Review posts friends tag you in before they appear on your timeline" to enable or disable Timeline Review.
This setting notifies us when we have been tagged in a post and allows us to review it before it appears on our timeline.
Tap the switch on the right side of the screen to turn the option on or off.
We will be returned to the previous screen, and the setting will now be on or off, depending on what we selected.
At the time this video was recorded, there was a bug in the application that occurs when a setting is changed.
We will be returned to the previous screen, and the setting will be changed to what we requested. However, the screen we are now on, although it looks the same, is no longer active. To get around this bug, tap the back arrow in the top left corner of the screen twice to return to the same screen, but a working version. As we can see, the setting we changed is still set to what we selected. Whenever a setting is changed, this method will need to be used.
The next section of the Timeline and Tagging settings is who can see things on our timeline.
Tap "Who can see posts you've been tagged in on your timeline" to set who can see posts that we have been tagged in on our timeline.
We have the option to choose from "Everyone", "Friends of friends", "Friends", or "Only Me". Tap the option we would like to use.
Tap "Who can see what others post on your timeline" to set who can see what others post on our timeline.
Tap the option we would like to use.
The last section is on how to manage tags people add and tagging suggestions.
Tap "Review tags people add to your own posts before the tags appear on Facebook" to enable or disable the option to review tags that are added to our own posts before they appear on Facebook.
Tap the switch on the right side of the screen to enable or disable the option.
Tap "When you're tagged in a post, who do you want to add to the audience if they aren't already in it" to set who will see the notification that we have been tagged in a post.
Tap the option we would like to use.
Tap "Who sees tag suggestions when photos that look like you are uploaded" to set who will receive tag suggestions on photos that look like us.
Tap the option we would like to use. Facebook has a face recognition software that suggests potential tags to people viewing the photo.
This concludes the tutorial on how to manage tags and tagging suggestions in Facebook while using the iPhone 6.
