Edited by Lukward Thomason, Alexander Avdeev
You are watching VisiHow! This is a tutorial on how to manage startup programs in Windows 7. To manage the startup programs, a startup manager is needed.
Press and hold the Windows key and press R on your keyboard.
Release both buttons. The Run window will open. The input box in the window is used to enter paths or commands to execute. The startup manager program is Microsoft Configuration, but the command to execute it is "msconfig".
Type "msconfig" in the input box.
Press Enter or click "OK".
A new window will open. There are several tabs in the window.
Click the "Startup" tab.
There are several programs that are available for startup. All the programs that are ticked will automatically start with the computer. All the programs that are not ticked will not start with the computer at all.
Tick or untick a program.
For example, if the tick for "Ulead VideoStudio" is removed, it will be disabled.
A new window will open. It says that the computer must be restarted to apply the changes. Startup only works when Windows 7 starts.
Click "Restart" or click "Exit without restart" and then restart manually.
For the sake of the tutorial, "Exit without restart" is clicked. It is recommended to click "Restart".
This concludes the tutorial on how to manage startup programs in Windows 7. Thank you for watching VisiHow! If you have any other comments or questions, please leave them in the comment section below.
