Manage Device Storage on iPhone 6

You're watching VisiHow, and today we're going to show you how to manage the storage on your iPhone 6.
First, we need to press the Home button at the bottom of the phone one time, which will open the lock screen.
Then we can swipe across the screen to enter our pass-code if we have one.
Alternatively, we can hold our thumb over the Home button to use the fingerprint scanner.
At the Home screen, we'll give a single press to Settings.
From the Settings menu, scroll down to the third section and tap on General.
At General settings, scroll down and tap on Usage in the fourth section.
On the Usage screen, we are interested in Storage, which is the second set of options.
As you can see, I have 20.9 gigabytes used data and 93.4 gigabytes of available space.
If I would like to see what is using up all of the space, I can tap on Manage Storage.
A Storage screen will open, and you will see a list of programs along with how much space each one is using.
If you want to delete some of the apps you no longer need that are taking up space, simply tap on the app name in this list.
A short informational screen will open for that application.
Just below that information will be a Delete App button. Tap that to delete the application.
Tap Delete App again below the confirmation message that appears on the bottom of the screen.
The message simply states that deleting the program will also delete any of its documents and data.
Now, the app is gone, and you'll be taken back to the Storage screen.
This is a way to quickly delete applications and restore excess space on your phone. Generally speaking, when I complete a tutorial on a game or application, I delete it if I do not regularly use that app. For now, let's tap on Usage at the top left corner of the screen to go back.
We can continue tapping at the top left corner until we reach the main Settings menu.
From here, a single press to the Home button will take us back to the Home screen.
We can now double press the Home button, and swipe up on open applications or Windows to close them.
This concludes our tutorial on managing and freeing up data and space on your iPhone 6.
