Maple Pecan Pie

Everyone who has eaten pecan pies before can pretty much enumerate the ingredients used to it because of it being ordinary.     1. 1 cup of Heavy Whipping Cream
    2. ¼ cup of Maple Syrup (for the whipped cream)
    3. 3 Large Eggs
    4. 2 cups of Pecans
    5. ½ stick of Butter (melted)

    7. 1 cup of Maple Sugar

    1. Set you pie aside then pre head your oven at 350 degrees F. Beat the heavy whipping cream using a hand mixer. After 2 minutes, gradually add ¼ cup of maple syrup and keep mixing it until it becomes thick.
    2. On a separate bowl, beat the eggs using a hand mixer and gradually add the maple sugar to it. Cream them together until they are light and fluffy.
    3. Add the melted butter and keep mixing them together until they are well incorporated. You can melt your butter in a small pan under low heat to make sure that it is not going to burn. Once they are well combined, add ¾ cup of maple syrup and continue mixing them. Once done, set the mixture aside.
    4. On the pie crust, pour the pecans and flatten them to make sure that they are evenly spread out. Pour the egg mixture on the top of the pecans spreading them evenly. Put it in the pre heated oven and let it cook for 50 minutes. To check if it is already cooked, poke it with a toothpick and see if it already comes out clean. If it does, it must be ready.
    5. Let the pecan pie cool down for a few minutes then cover its top with the whipping cream. Slice the pie and start serving it to your family and friends for a new pecan pie experience.

    1. Set you pie aside then pre head your oven at 350 degrees F. Boil 2 ½ cups of water in a small pot and start chopping your chocolate using a serrated knife. Serrated knife is perfect for chopping hard food and it will make this task easier.
    2. Put the chopped chocolates in a heat proof bowl and put it on top of the pot under the boiling water. Make sure that the bowl will not touch the water in the pot. Keep on stirring the chocolate until it entirely melts. As an alternative, you can also put the chocolate in the microwave and melt it in there for 2-4 minutes.
    3. In a separate bowl, whisks together 4 large eggs and gradually add the corn syrup. Once they are combines, add the sugar, salt and vanilla extract. Whisk all of these ingredients together for 30 seconds to a minute then add the melted chocolate in it. Continue whisking the mixture in a stirring motion for another minute.
    4. Pour the mixture in the pie crust and arrange the pecans on top of it. You can assemble them the way you want it to be. If you want your pie to have more pecans, you can one more cup of it and just pour all of them on top of the mixture. Spread it evenly so they are equally distributed on the whole pie crust.
    5. Cook your pie for an hour before taking it out of the oven. You may notice that the top of the pie is puffed but after you let it cool for a few hours or even overnight, its top will be leveled. You can now slice and serve it.

Tips

  • Prepare your pecan pie before preparing any other recipes for whatever occasion you are celebrating. This will give it enough time to cool down before being served.
  • The first slice of the pie is usually the hardest to get. Most of us are not able to slice it correctly so we end up making it look messy. For you to get the first slice perfectly, place your pie crust in a tin foil and using kitchen shears, cut the middle of the first slice instead of using a knife. You only need to slice its top part and will come out perfectly.
