Freya, Alexander Avdeev, Jen M
You're watching VisiHow! In this video, we are going to show you how you can make a Vine video in the Vine application on the iPhone 6.
To begin, we need to unlock the phone by pressing the lock button
Alternatively, we can press the home button
We enter our passcode or just use the fingerprint scanner
We need to find and tap the Vine icon
The icon is green-blue colored. Tapping the icon will open up the application. We'll be automatically taken to the home page where Vine will play a Vine video. It is indicated by the house icon in the bottom left-hand corner.
We tap the icon in the center at the bottom
The icon is a symbol of a movie camera, and it is located to the right of the house icon. Tapping the icon will allow us to start creating a Vine video.
We need to ensure that the rear camera is on
We also need to ensure that we have the access to the camera.
We press the home button
We also need to find and tap the Settings icon
The icon has a gray cog.
We scroll down until we find "Vine"
It will be somewhere towards the bottom, because the list is in the alphabetical order.
We need to ensure that all of the triggers are green
The default settings have some disabled triggers, which are white.
We simply tap the white triggers once
This will allow access for each.
We do not need to press "Save" anywhere
We tap the "Settings" button to go back if we like.
We double-tap the home button
We tap the Vine panel to come back to the Vine application
We tap the movie icon again
We will have access to our camera. The image behind the phone will be on the camera.
We can also tap the circular arrow button on the right-hand side to use our front camera as well
We tap the circular arrow button again
We can begin to create our Vine video.
We can have our flash on by tapping the lightning-bolt icon
The flash will be on, reflecting off the objects near the camera.
We tap the lightning-bolt icon again to switch the flash back off
The camera will be automatically focusing, which is quite good
We can begin a Vine video by holding down the screen
The screen line will be moving across the top. The recording is paused. We can move the camera in some other direction, or we can repeat our recording, depending on what we want.
For example, we can put the fingers behind the camera and tap and hold the screen to record as well
We can play around. This is just an example in this video, and it is not going to be the best Vine video in the world.
We can tap the arrow in the top right-hand corner to finish recording
Alternatively, we can keep going with the Vine video all the way to the end
We will be taken to the next part automatically. We will see the freshly made Vine video. We will see cuts between each scene.
If we want to edit the Vine video, we tap "Edit"
We can cut one of the scenes that we've done.
Every time we press on the screen, the video comes in a different block
We have the option to tap those blocks to select them.
Then, we can tap the bin symbol to delete it
We can also mute the sound by tapping the speaker icon
The icon is on the right-hand side. The icon will be highlighted if we tap it.
We can tap the speaker icon again to allow sound
We can tap the duplicate icon
In this video, the Vine video is too long to allow that. If we had space in the video, we could still duplicate the scene.
Alternatively, we can just tap the bin icon to put the selected video section in the bin
Vine will not double-check with us if we want to throw a section in the bin. We have to be cautious when we are doing that.
We will see the removed section as orange
We can tap "Cancel" if we did something by accident
For example, if we deleted something, and we don't want Vine to save it.
We can tap the "Save" icon
The icon is in the top right-hand corner. The Vine video will have the section edited out.
We can add a caption by tapping "Add a caption (optional)"
We can type the title or whatever we like
We have a 140-character limit, just like with Twitter. This is indicated by the number on the right hand-side, next to "OK".
We can add a location as well
When we are happy with everything, we tap "Next" in the top right-hand corner
We'll have the options to send or post the Vine video to a friend, channel, Vine, or any social media sites
to see how to share a Vine video on Facebook and Tumblr, which will be exactly the same way; but we'll be sharing our own Vine video.
We select the menu options by tapping the ones we like
We can then tap "Share post"
We'll see that the Vine video will be added to our home page.
