Lot of technical and pre-planning needed to open a BPO?
Hi,. . I am completely new to the industry, except that I have worked for American Express, Gurgaon for around 18 months. I want to start my own international BPO in Lucknow, U.P. I need to know is it possible to get the projects from overseas without any sources. I mean initially, if its possible to get some work from overseas which does not need a huge team to serve, then I can prove my potential, and move ahead.. . Thank you. Your article is great when it talks about a huge business plan, huge investments, technical training, hiring, etc. however if it could also explain to start a BPO at a small level, with a team of approx. 4 - 5 employees, get good results, and then expand. I have tried: I have not tried any BPO project, however tried contacting a few providers based in Delhi, which turn out to be fake, as they charge a deposit, then do not pay, as they don't have genuine projects, and are making money only by these deposits from the public. I think it was caused by: Unavailability of genuine work from overseas, for small startups, to show their interpersonal, technical and analytical abilities, and hence lack of confidence in even the genuine providers.
