I just want to know how to bypass the lock screen?

How can I temporarily disable the lock-screen without a Hard Reset?

You can temporarily disable the lock screen under Settings and Security. This only works if you have the lock codes at the time of disabling. If you have forgotten your lock screen then you will have to attempt 5 times until you see the option Forgot Password. You can then use your Google Account to access the phone.

What about security if you forgot?

I have changed my security, I don't understand if I entered a no. or a spelling that is different with my target

If you forgot your security code then you will have to use your Google Account to login on the device. If you registered with Samsung then you can possibly remotely unlock your phone as well through Samsung's Find My Mobile. If you do this, make sure the screen is lit up and not in sleep mode. Your data or WiFi will also have to be enabled to use your Google Account or Samsung's remote unlock features.

Not allowing power button actions in lock screen?

Hi, I do think Android has lots of security issues, for example when locked, it is possible to activate airplane mode or power off the phone, making it really easy for someone who has stolen your phone to stop you from tracking it. I am aware that it is always possible to remove the battery, but not everyone thinks about that, am I right? Could you please give me a hand with this? Thank you very much in advance. Best regards

The hard buttons need to be active for a reason. For instance, you forget your passcode or the passcode is just not working then you can hard reset the device with the passcode. There are additional security functions to keep people out of your files or apps that you can enable but you will want to be able to use the hard keys.

My pattern lock screen is small I want my pattern to be normal?

My pattern lock screen is small I want my pattern to be normal

Go into your phone Settings menu and make sure that you do not have one handed enabled under Languages and Input. This would make your lock screen smaller. You can also go to Google Play and use an app lock screen although these can be complicated if you forget your passcode then you are probably going to have to hard reset with a third party security app.

My Note2 somehow changed from pattern lock to pin lock?

I cannot work, how to change this back as options offered have pattern greyed out

Did you ever set up a pin? You would need this to disable that lock and go back to the pattern.

The PIN number display has changed to white squares/rectangles instead of numbers. How do I get it back to numbers? Thanks?

Where I enter my PIN, the screen has changed from numbers to square or rectangular white icons. How do I change it back so that it reflects the numbers again. Thanks.

Remove the battery for a few minutes. Then reinsert and see if your phone is back to normal. If not, you will have to perform a hard reset to revert to factory settings since you can't unlock the phone and go into your Settings to change your keyboard.

See more questions like this: My Samsung Note3 phone pin no is white dots instead of numbers and I cannot use my phone, what do I do?

Experiencing problems unlocking my phone with my signature?

I chose signature lock and made all the procedures and entered the pin but whenever I try to unlock, it is saying that I did it incorrectly and the pin is wrong although I am sure of everything

Disable the lock. Something was corrupted when you set this up. Use your Google Account to bypass the lock and then set it up again. You may have to put your phone into Recovery and choose Wipe Cache Partition to access the other lock options.

Regarding pin-lock security. I just want to know after formatting will the pin-lock be gone?

I am using pin lock for my Samsung Note3. If supposing anyone steals it and format that, will the protection be gone?

Yes, only you know your pin lock and it is not "shown" on the phone. Once the phone is hard reset and formatted, everything is gone except for factory installed apps. With the newest Android OS updates there has been an added security measure put into effect that you need to know the last Google Account credentials associated with a device after a factory reset.

Is there a way to lock the settings section on the Samsung Galaxy Note3?

Essentially I need to lock the settings portion, to prevent people from changing modes / turning off icons (ex. WiFi, GPS, putting into airplane mode). Is this possible? Thank you for your help

The simplest way to do this is to set your lock screen to require the PIN code each time you enter the screen. This is a pain, though as you will constantly have to put in the code. The only real way to keep people from tampering with your device is to keep it on you at all times or remove the battery. Unfortunately, if you can't trust people around your device then you need to reconsider who you frequently hang out with.

How can I get files off my Note3 without being able to see the screen on my phone?

My Note3 is working but my screen has blacked out, is there a way I can connect my phone to a TV or other device so I can see the screen and download my files of it?

You can install Kies on your PC and use that to try to transfer files. Using something to cast your screen will require you to activate it first.

I thought I'd try password, hate it. Followed all the directions but the list of security options has swipe faded out/unavailable. Please help me get swipe back. I'd like to get rid of the clock too. Thanks for your time.

I have a Samsung Note3 and foolishly decided to play with the lock settings and I hate the way the password option looks. I just want to restore the swipe option. But the option is faded and not selectable when I try to change it. I want to get the clock off too.

Go into Settings and under Security choose Clear Credentials. Then put your phone into Recovery and choose Wipe Cache Partition. You can then just use the Swype. I had the same issue on my daughters Samsung tablet which kept reverting back to the lock screen even when I disabled it. Finally, Wipe Cache Partition removed it permanently. As for the clock, this would involve a Custom OS and rooting your phone. You could try to set a different app tray screen as your home screen or install a third party app lock without the clock display.
