If you are acquainted with the art of singing, think of the voice that would come out if you were talking into a glass. Maybe, take a glass cover your mouth with it and talk. The voice that you hear in the glass is the voice that you shall have to get to without the glass. It isn't easy to speak or sing in such voice. You will have to first indulge in breathing exercises i.e. breath through your stomach instead of your chest. Also, drink aplenty water.

You need to drink lukewarm water or hot water twice a day and to practice diaphragm breathing regularly. In diaphragm breathing, you use your stomach to breathe instead of your chest.

There really is no food or drink that will just instantly improve your vocal clarity. The best thing you can do is practice regularly, warm up before singing, and stay properly hydrated.

When a voice box recovers from injury, does it become two times stronger?

No, just like any other injury from vocal chords to bone injuries it will heal itself but it will not be as strong as it would have been from before being injured or broken. Think of it like a mirror once you break a mirror it is possible for it to be repaired but it will never look perfect as it did before with all the cracks that will show after its repair.

My voice always choke whenever I speak. It really sounds thick and disgusting even though I won't drink cold drinks, ice creams, tea, coffee etc..What I should do?

Hoarseness of the voice could be the culprit for that abnormal deviation in the volume and pitch of your voice. You could sound raspy or somewhat deep and strained which is different from your normal speaking or singing voice. There are different factors that contribute to having this medical condition. The most common cause is acute laryngitis which refers to the swelling of the vocal cords. Other trigger factors would include vocal abuse or misuse, vocal cord polyps, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), smoking, and allergies; to name some. People who are experiencing hoarseness would usually feel like they have a lump in the throat or have the urge to always clear their throat.

It is best to seek the expert advice of an otolaryngologist as well as a speech and language pathologist. The most common treatment would be to rest your voice, quit smoking, drinking lots of water, avoiding caffeine or alcoholic beverages, room humidifiers, and proper vocal hygiene.

I had a sore throat and I practiced singing during my sickness, how can I heal from this and have I damaged my voice permanently due to my excessive singing?

My falsetto is very weak and I can't sing the way I used to before the sore throat and I cannot sing high notes or sing for more than a couple of minutes before my voice wears out or cracks because I can't hit the high notes anymore or sustain a melody before my voice gets weak
