I have music I have on my Samsung Galaxy S4 and I want to copy them to my desktop so I can burn them?

I can not seem to get the computer to recognize the files and sync.

Do the following:

  • connect computer and phone using the USB wire
  • on your phone, enable USB debugging settings>developer options>USB debugging
  • on the home menu, drag down notification bar, you will see this:

Turn it on

  • on your computer your phone will install its driver
  • once driver is installed (automatically), go to My computer
  • choose the phone's name (which is an attached device)
  • open the specific folder where your MP3 are stored
  • copy and paste them on another folder on your computer

Why does my camera download in both .jpg and .png file?

When I download from my Samsung 4 to my PC, some go down as .jpg and .png, I am not sure why and when it differentiates but I cannot open any of my .png files. I would like to always download as .jpg

Broken Galaxy Note2 screen, can't upload files onto computer?

I have an old Galaxy Note2 with a broken screen that doesn't turn on, but the phone itself still turns on. I'm trying to upload photos/contacts from my broken phone to my computer via USB, but when I open the phone on my computer, it doesn't show any files.

I'm new to transferring files from my phone and need to do that before implementing a Factory Reset to be done by Consumer Cellular because my phone isn't accepting text messages or phone calls?
