Installation of 4.0 on desktop?
Installation went fine, sync seems to work, but as soon as I attempt to display the screen on the PC it says an error has occurred and needs to close
Do you have Windows 10? Here is the usual fix for SideSync when it crashes repeatedly. Uninstall 4.0. Install 3.0 but really you are going to upgrade to 4.0 once it installs. You will see a prompt box offering to upgrade to 4.0. Click OK and go through the set up process.
Before you do this, go to your PC manufacturer's website and install all display drivers and update your Video card. Then take your phone and Wipe Cache Partition and Dalvik Cache. This will not delete apps or data like a hard reset would although you do this from the Recovery Menu. Try to set up and connect after that. It should display. Especially if you have Windows 10.
