Steps

  1. 1
First thing we need to do is check that all the air has been expelled from the inner tube.
To do this, we can open the valve, hold it down, and squeeze any remaining air out of the inner tube.

Now we need to find the valve hole.
As you can see, the valve hole is here, and we can place it at the top to make it easier to reinsert the inner tube.

We're going to take the valve and place it into the valve hole.

Lift up the tire and make sure the valve is in.
It's important to ensure the valve is in correctly, because if any rubber is trapped, it's possible the rubber around the valve can split once the inner tube is inflated. To check this, we can push the inner tube in and out with the valve. If it does this with no problems, it is in properly.

  5. 5
With both hands, push the inner tube into the tire.
Do this all the way around so that the inner tube is fully in the tire without any creases and without being twisted. This will prevent any problems in the future. You can see in the photo that my inner tube is twisted. So now I need to take out my valve and inner tube to make sure it goes in without any kinks or creases. When you are done, place the valve back into the valve hole and push the inner tube back into the tire.

The next stage is to push the tire back into the rim.
To do this, we're going to move our hands around so we are pushing the tire in. When you get to halfway, the best thing to do is to flip the tire over and continue pushing until the tire is completely in the rim.

Next, put the valve rim back around the valve.
Replace the ring, but don't tighten it all the way. When the inner tube is inflated the valve will stick out more.

Now you will need to either inflate the tire now, or place the wheel back onto the bike and then inflate the tire.
