You're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to use S Note to insert Easy charts with bars on the Samsung Note 10.1.
Before you begin, make sure that your device is unlocked.
You should be on the home screen.
In this tutorial, you need to access the S Pen.
You can find the S Pen in the top right-hand corner of your device behind the screen. Find a notch that you can hold to gently pull out the S Pen from its case.
Once you are on the home screen, locate and tap on the application folder.
The icon for the application folder is in the lower right-hand corner, and it is a grid with white squares.
Locate and tap the S Note icon by scrolling through the application folder.
The S Note icon is a red box with an "S" inside of it. When the application loads, you can open a blank template or an existing document.
In order to insert a bar chart, tap the leftmost option at the bottom.
Tap the fourth option in the insert menu, "Easy chart".
A new window will appear with the types of charts you can insert.
Tap on "Bar".
It is the second option in this list. A small tutorial on how to create bar charts will appear on the screen in a new window.
You can also check "Do not show again".
This will allow you not to see this tutorial again.
Review the tutorial on the screen and tap on "OK" when you've finished.
Begin to draw a bar by moving the S Pen on the screen.
After you release the S Pen, the bar will automatically be placed. A value will be entered on the right side of the screen under "Dataset 1".
As you continue drawing your bars, make sure they have a good form, in order to be recognized by the application.
Below the chart, you will see "Total" and "Average" for the values in "Dataset 1".
To add a dataset, tap on the "Add dataset" button at the top of the screen.
Adding a dataset will insert another column next to "Dataset 1" to the right and at the bottom of the chart.
Tap on the language button.
It's in the top-left corner. You can add information in other languages that way. In this tutorial, the language is set to "EN(US)". Your list of languages may look different, depending on the languages you have loaded on your device. Tap the language of your choice.
When you have finished creating your bar chart, tap on "Done" in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
After tapping "Done", a pop-up window will appear giving you additional chart options.
You can insert your chart with or without dataset names.
For this tutorial, we will tap on "Insert with dataset names". Now, your chart will be inserted into a template.
If you are satisfied with how the chart looks, tap on the "Save" icon.
It is the box with a checkmark in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Tap on "OK" when you've finished.
