If someone has a warrant out for their arrest how long can they be kept for?
Well actually if you do refer if how long they will be kept in the custody or in the prison for having a warrant of arrest, it could be vary depending on the rules and what they have done or what their case are. The lighter the case that you have then the shorter they kept you but if you have committed a higher crimes then it could take too long for you in their custody or prison before you can get out.
If you mean if there is an expiration for a warranty of arrest. Unfortunately, warranty of arrest does not have an expiration date and it is for life. A warrant can only be deactivated or expires once you get arrested or surrender. If your warranty of arrest was issued a long time ago, like 20 or 30 years and even if you have a minor offense, warrant is for life even if you transfer from state to state.
