How to Fix Being Stuck on Bootloop

You can sometimes get out of a boot loop by taking out your battery, and then reinserting it and trying to reboot the phone. Another method is to take out the SD card and attempt to start the phone that way.

How can I find my firmware model?

My phone is always showing me an error. I can't open the settings. I have tried: Searching the web.

If you are still getting errors trying to open up the Android system-wide settings app, there is an alternative way you can try to obtain the firmware version of your Samsung device. If you are able to, can you open the phone app? Or does it give you an error with opening the phone app and crash as well? If it doesn't crash, open the phone app, and type the following code into the dialer, *#*#4636#*#*. You will then have 4 information panels that you can choose from to view the information in that category. (i.e. Phone Information, Battery Information, etc.)

I'm trying to determine the correct firmware for my phone?

I just got a Galaxy S4. I foolishly rooted it and began removing what I thought were unnecessary apps which screwed the phone up to the point it was stuck booting all the time with the T-Mobile logo up. I read that if I can get into download mode I can install the original firmware. I installed ODIN on my computer but I don't know which firmware to get. I can't power the phone on anymore.

Phone on boot loop can't get it OFF?

Hi, my phone went on to boot loop and can't seem to get it OFF, can you help me please, how do I get it fixed, is there a way

Have you tried removing the battery, waiting, putting the battery back in and then powering the phone back on? If not, what you will want to do first is remove the back cover and pull out the battery. After pulling out the battery, you will want to wait at least 15 seconds before you put the battery back in. Once you have done that, push and hold the power button for a few seconds and let go once the Samsung screen appears.

I have a Galaxy Y and it is boot looping, I want to get the exact FW for it, how can I check for the version installed?

You cannot check the firmware version on a device that cannot boot up, but you can obtain up-to-date official firmware from http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ by entering your model name. If you are not sure what your model number is, remove the cover and the battery to locate it on the back of the phone.
