I want to end my relationship with BSOD?

Well, it all started one day when my HP Pavilion dv6 with Windows 7 was just starting up. It reached the windows logo part, and then my brother decides to mess with the charger cord. My laptop doesn't have a battery, so it only works when it's plugged up. Anyway, my nephew shifts the laptop, and the cord, now tangled around the table legs is pulled out! Then I fixed the cord and plugged it back in. This is what comes up after the Windows logo disappears: msln exe. not found skipping AUTOCHK... and I'm left with the black screen. The dashboard is nice and lit, but the screen stays black and only the cursor appears..... It's frustrating and besides, I didn't want to end up in this relationship.... it just "happened"!!!. I have tried: Haven't really tried anything since I don't know what to try.. I think it was caused by: The impromptu shutoff of the system during loading.
