My hair is still virgin, and I want to try to dye my hair; but I'm afraid that soon after, my hair will become dry; and I'm going to regret it in the end.

Chemical dyes will, indeed, damage your hair over time; but it may take years before you see any change (for example, hair not growing past some point, dry hair, or uneven hair length). Yet, oftentimes, just growing non-dyed hair out solves that problem as soon as you decide that you have to stop damaging your hair.

Yet, there is another solution for your problem. You can dye your hair and keep it healthy, but the choice of color is limited to shades of red (orange), depending on your natural hair color. When applying henna, just dissolve it in hot water. Always remember that it colors everything around you; that it may color your skin, so you may need to apply vaseline to your skin on your head; and that it takes a lot of time to set (up to six hours!) Unlike chemical dyes, benefits of henna for your hair may include strengthening and shining properties. As a big plus, you can actually remove henna from your hair too by soaking it in mineral oil for up to three hours and applying lemon juice (or alcohol) afterwards. There are many other methods to remove it as well.
