How do I use an SD as default storage on an LG Tribute?

I have an LG Tribute, Sprint, and it's very low on internal memory, so I got a card but I can't figure out how to get apps to download directly to it.

You have to go into each of the apps settings to choose storage options. Now, even though you do this the apps will still be on the original hardware of the phone. So you will need to get an app like CCleaner to regularly clear cache. You also will want to transfer photos and videos that you want to keep to a cloud storage or on your PC. If you use cloud storage from Google or OneDrive, you can access them from the apps once you install them on your phone.

Google and Samsung blocked any apps that are not from Google or Samsung to not be stored on the memory card. Use an app like FrostWire to configure your downloads to the SD card. You can set this up in the Frostwire app settings once you have installed the app.

How can I make the external SD card on my Byte Android tablet to be the primary storage for all downloaded media?. I have tried: Nothing. I think it was caused by: I don't know

You can change this in your Settings Gear located in apps. Look for the Storage Options and then choose the default storage option to the SD card. You will have to manually move over apps that you have already installed and some may not move to the SD card. Frostwire is another excellent suggestion for managing downloaded media. The link for the app is in the above answers.

Hi I have a problem I can't set my external memory card as the default one when installing apps from Google play?

I followed your steps but I didn't get the result

still when I try to download an application it says insufficient memory!

With the Marshmallow 6.0 update, you will be allowed to "Adopt SD card" as an option. This means that Google Play will install on internal memory as always but it actually will go to the SD card. You will want to use an app like Frostwire or ES File Manager if your phone is still not recognizing your SD card. If you did not format the SD card, this may be part of your problem. Once you have formatted your SD card, put the phone into Recovery Mode but instead of wipe data, you will choose Wipe Cache Partition. You will not lose any data but it will free up storage.
