I think I was told I needed to add an SD card to my S5?

So that I can download any pictures that I want from my phone? I have never had a "smart " phone before, a newbie, thank you

microSD cards add space to your phone in which you can store more data, including pictures. This means that you can keep more pictures and copy them to your computer when needed. To copy them to your computer, you may need a card reader and a microSD-to-SD adapter or you can refer to our tutorial on how to transfer files to your PC and smartphone. The total size of the microSD for your Galaxy S5 must not exceed 128 GB, which is a volume, but you can buy and insert 4 GB, 8 GB, etc., ones. The bigger the number, the better. The microSD are sold online and in stores as small cards that you insert into your phone as shown in this tutorial.

When you insert the microSD card, the phone will recognize it; and you can start using it as extra storage. You can also set up saving some pictures to the SD card by default.

I can't mount SD card properly into my Samsung Galaxy S5?

It was working properly. Now says insert SD card. I tried removing and reinserting. But the message still says-insert SD card. I have tried: Removed and reinserted SD card several times. I think it was caused by: Is the card damaged, or is the port damaged?
