You can change your email info by logging in to Gmail's website using your PC or Laptop. Once logged in, click on the account link and in security, you can change the password. See screen shot here:

You just need to deactivate that email account on your phone. Go to your settings and then go to your mail settings and then click deactivate. If you do not want to deactivate and you just want to reduce the notifications that you get, you can keep the mail in your phone but you would not set push notifications for this. You only have to open your mail to know if you have new messages.

All you have to do is go to email settings and select the "delete account" option. If you can't do this, turn off your device for a few minutes and then turn it back on. It is more likely just stuck that's why you cannot execute this command. Deleting email accounts is usually very easy and straightforward to do. If the problem persists, you may want to consider reinstalling your operating system.
