Questions and Answers

I just installed Kies, but it says I don't have a device attached. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4?

Any suggestions as to what I need to change on the phone or the PC that is running Win 8.1

You might have an issue with the USB cable or port you're using. You should try a different one of each.

You should also uninstall and reinstall all Samsung software on your PC, and then restart your PC. Reboot your phone, and then try connecting the two. It's a bit of a "kitchen sink" approach, but it should help you fix the error.

Windows 7 does not support Samsung Galaxy S4?

Will not download media from Galaxy S4 mini. I have tried: Three USB connections. Downloads of Windows 7 updates...outdated. I think it was caused by: Said to take media card out. I did. Still will not recognize USB

Hi, I have a new Samsung Galaxy phone and I want to transfer music from my laptop?

I have followed the instructions and know how to sync the music, but can't find it. Now a Windows box comes up saying there is a problem. I think it's because the "phone" thinks it's stolen music. It's actually not, because I own the CDs which I originally transferred to my computer. Perhaps I will just have to accept I can't put them on my phone. I have tried: I have tried using an ehow article. I followed the instruction exactly. The first transfer appeared to work but I couldn't find the music. When I tried with some older, classical music, even that wouldn't work.. I think it was caused by: I think the music appears copied, i.e. stolen. Although it's copied I paid for the original CDs so I don't feel guilty about it. I guess it's not going to work?

How do I find out what Android version is on my Samsung 4?

I have a new Samsung S6 and want to transfer files from my "old faithful" Samsung 4. Don't know the Android version, though. I have tried: Got it connected via USB; looked up instructions and wound up here. Incidentally, service is still on the old phone; the new one hasn't yet been activated. I think it was caused by: Lack of knowledge about what I'm trying to do.
