I inadvertently exceeded the number of fingerprint attempts, and now my Samsung Galaxy S5 is asking for a pass-code. I don't know it. How can I unlock my Samsung Galaxy S5?
The alternate password that your Samsung Galaxy S5 is asking for was set up by you when you set up the fingerprint scanner. If you have forgotten the alternative password, there are only a couple of things that you can try to do in order to unlock your device. First, enter the wrong alternative password up to 20 times. This will cause your Samsung Galaxy S5 to ask for your Google account information. Enter the password and username of the Google account you signed into on your Samsung Galaxy S5. This will unlock your phone and allow you to remove or change the alternative pass-code to something you can remember. If you don't remember your Google account information, you can try to recover it using this online tool provided by Google. If you are unable to retrieve your Google account username and password, your phone does not ask you for them after you enter the wrong password up to 20 times, or if you never logged your Samsung Galaxy S5 into a Google account in the first place, you will need to perform a Factory Reset. This will wipe all of your Samsung Galaxy S5's data -- including the forgotten alternative password -- to bring your phone back to its original factory settings to allow you to use it again. This great VisiHow article will show you how to perform a proper factory reset on your Samsung Galaxy S5. After the reset is finished, make sure to log your Samsung Galaxy S5 into a Google account to which you know the username and password. In addition, write down the alternative password on a piece of paper and keep it in a secure and safe place so you can refer to it in the future.

My location is off, and the 'find my mobile' option is not active.
