Answer: Your service provider can access the phone and unlock or reset your lock password, you need to give them the IMEI number located under the battery. If your service provider can not or will not do this for you. Contact Samsung with proof of purchase and that you are the owner of the phone and they can unlock it for you.

I can't make anything work on Samsung S5 phone, can't power it off, and can't sign?

How can I make touch pad work again. I have tried: Power on and off. I think it was caused by: There was a button on the side of the phone, I pressed it and now I can't use the touch screen

Try these solutions:

  • when the phone is powered up, press and hold the power and volume-down buttons until the phone switches off;
  • remove the battery and SIM card for a minute and put them back;
  • if the phone is still unresponsive, turn it off (by removing the battery, if needed) and press and hold the home, volume-down, and power buttons until the Samsung logotype is shown on the screen. When you see that logotype, just release the power button. When you see a robot on the screen, release the volume-down and home buttons. Highlight "wipe cache partition" by pressing the volume-down button and press the power button. Then, reboot the phone with the highlighted "reboot system now" by pressing the power button.
  • now, if the phone is still not responding, turn it off (by removing the battery, if needed) and press and hold the home, volume-down, and power buttons until the Samsung logotype is shown on the screen. When you see that logotype, just release the power button. When you see a robot on the screen, release the volume-down and home buttons. Highlight "wipe data/factory reset" by pressing the volume-down button and press the power button. Confirm the action with "Yes -- erase all user data". Then, reboot the phone with the highlighted "reboot system now" by pressing the power button.

If none of the solutions have worked, then bring the phone to a Samsung service center in your area.
