My phone is still telling me that there is not enough available space with SD card inserted?

I'm getting a message on my Samsung Galaxy S5 that says "SD card is damaged. Try reformatting". My question is, what information will I lose? I already have all of my photos backed up so I'm not concerned about that?

Can I recover the data on the SD card?

I noticed that I could not get to the information on the SD card or could not install apps on the card. I checked the settings menu and I saw that the card was not functioning. Removing it and placing it back was successful a few times but now it does not respond in any way at all. I connected the S5 to the computer and went to the SD card and it says it does not contain any files. Does that mean everything is gone. I do have a backup but I think the backup does not contain everything on the card. Do I have to dispose of the SD card or can I reformat it and use it again. Thanks for your help

SD card is said to be "corrupted" or "unsupported"?

Hi there. I've got a Samsung GS5 and have a 32GB SD card in it with well over a 1000 photos and audio that I'd like to recover. The phone went through some kind of "fit" one week ago, and I have zero recognizable photos or other data off that card now. I did nothing to the phone myself nor deleted the files accidentally. I've installed a program on my desktop to recover them from the SD card, but it's not recognizing that, I even have a device plugged in. very frustrated. How can this be solved? Thanks.
