Locked out of my Android Tablet?
My boyfriend decided he wanted to look through my Tablet. Instead of just asking, he tried guessing my password, and failed. I have a Google Account but my Tablet won't accept my user ID or password. I think this is because I had recently turned off WiFi. It's a cheap no name Tablet, and all I really want is my pictures and my music. Please help!!
When you are locked out of your Android Tablet, and can not get internet access to reset the password, in most cases you can still access all of the images, music, and photos on your SD card. As you've said that it is a cheap no name Tablet, you likely have a limited amount of device memory, so plugging your Tablet into a computer should allow you to quickly and easily access the files on your SD card. Depending on your device and version of the Android operating system, you may also be able to access files on the device memory.
Once you've done these things, you can Factory Reset your device by following the steps in our article on how to perform a Factory Reset of an Android device. However, depending on the make and model of your device, there may be other options, such as a small hole on your device where you can start the reset process. Just keep in mind that when you reset the device, you will lose all information stored on it. As a precaution, it's usually a good idea to remove your SD card before performing any Factory Reset.
Note that these steps work for any Android device, including flagship devices like the HTC One and the Sony Xperia.
My tablet has been locked and the pattern is also not seen due to several wrong attempts. The login password which I am entering is getting invalid, but I am sure that ID and password I am typing is 100% correct?
