How can I solve this problem ?

In order to fix your problem you need to do the following:

  1. 1
    Practice breathing correctly for singing.
Singing requires you to breathe differently than you normally do. This breathing allows for constant steady air flow in order to create smooth sounds.

  2. 2
    Practice switching vocal bridges.
Vocal bridges are the transitions between areas where sound is produced. There are three main areas the chest, throat, and head. Not maintaining a constant air flow or not being able to switch correctly can cause sound crackling. After practicing singing from all areas in sequence you will be able to switch without making any unwanted sounds.

  3. 3
    Don't strain.
Straining to hit a note can not only cause poor or voice cracking sounds it's doesn't help you in the long run. Instead, relax and go as high as is comfortable for you. This way you can slowly build up to hitting the high notes without overly straining and causing your voice to crack.

  4. 4
    Don't become overly fearsome.
If you are constantly worrying about cracking or a poor sounding singing voice you may trick yourself subconsciously into singing poorly. Instead, when your voice cracks or doesn't hit the notes you want it to hit know that it is a learning process and harsh sounds are par for the course.

My school has a play called Aladdin and I want to take the role of princess Jasmine?

Well I have a great singing voice but my voice goes to another tune sometimes. I basically want to know how to keep my voice in the same level as to when I start singing.

Switching from your comfortable register to another can be arduous, as it includes different amount of airflow while keeping it steady. You will have to switch to falsetto, most likely, to be able to sing Jasmine; and tips on how to maintain good singing level while going high in singing are available in our tutorial at http://visihow.com/Sing_Falsetto_and_in_Full_Voice. Also, do not forget to work on the emotional aspect, which will assist you in maintaining the same singing level as before: http://visihow.com/Show_Emotion_While_Singing.

These combined, be sure to lower your air compression (exhaling should be "weaker") when you are going for higher notes, as less air is needed to vibrate the vocal cords to produce the same volume of sound. Work on holding your breath with your diaphragm and abdomen, and release it only in quantities required for Jasmine's voice. Sing only Jasmine's part until you think that it is getting better. Then, record yourself. Listen to it and compare it to Aladdin's voice. If you think that Jasmine's voice is too airy, you will have to work on including your chest voice along with the head voice when going to falsetto notes.

I am not able to sing a song perfectly, what I have to do?

Sir I am not able to sing any song as in perfect voice so please help me to change my voice into harsh voice

Harsh voice can be achieved with a higher airflow. Avoid exercising too much with harsh vocals, and as soon as your throat or vocal folds hurt, stop rehearsing. The technique will come with time, and you will be able to sing for many hours daily. Focus on your breathing by learning it from our tutorial on breathing and slightly strain your tonsils when pushing the air from your lungs. Take breaks every now and when by drinking warm water. Learn to sing the same note with the same amount of vocalization, changing from clean to harsh vocals and back by just increasing and decreasing the airflow and straining your tonsils enough to produce enough harshness. Focus on learning and controlling the desired harshness by singing one vowel, for example, the vowel "A".

I can sing alright ! but its difficult for me to sing a higher note?

I find difficulties in singing higher notes, whenever I try to sing a higher note my voice fades out, and I feel terrible when I can't sing the way I want to sing

Your voice register has its limitations, and to overcome them, you have to train them like muscles at the gymnasium.

  • First of all, try the tips from our tutorial on how to increase your vocal range.
  • Find a musical instrument and start determining the range where you are the most comfortable.
  • Start playing higher note by note. As soon as you hit the note where you hear yourself singing weaker, go lower by one semitone. This will be your basic note for practicing.
  • Practicing singing that note and then include parts that go lower than that note but include it as well. Do not go higher even by a semitone until you have trained your singing to the feeling of being comfortable with that note.
  • Always hydrate your vocals cords with warm drinks and schedule your singing for the same time daily, preferably 2 hours after sleeping. Drink and eat healthily.
  • Perform warm-ups prior to singing. You can warm up your voice just by talking in different pitches.

Why can't I sing well? How can I improve it?

First, I always need to cough every now and then while singing, my voice sounds terrible to me when recorded! I have some days where I feel I don't sound as bad but a lot where I sound egregious (to my thought at least) I don't know what type of warm ups I should do, but how can I improve my voice? I can never really do those parts in songs that are usually in choruses when their voice seems a bit more stronger and loud, help?
