My iPhone4 has been jailbroken and downgraded to iOS 6.1. The screen stays black. I rebooted on Cydia, but it is still black.

If your iPhone screen is black, and you can not see the phone when connecting to a computer, you will need to try and exit DFU mode. This is done by pressing and holding the power and home buttons at the same time, for 10 seconds. After 10 seconds, release the power button, but continue to hold the home button for another 10 seconds. Following this, you should be able to boot your device normally.

If you are stuck on a black screen because you installed a tweak, then you will need to press and hold the power and home buttons until you see the apple screen, after which you will hold the volume up button, and then uninstall the app or tweak that caused the problem.

Alternatively, if you have the supported control methods installed, you can:

  1. 1
Cydia – If you have Cydia installed on your iPhone, you can simply open Cydia and delete the app causing the boot problems.

Restart, and you should once more have access to your device.
    • Don't forget to fully charge your battery before doing any of these things, or you'll risk bricking your phone.

Otherwise, at this stage you should be able to connect to iTunes. In iTunes, you can restore with either Redsn0w, or sn0wbreeze.

I tried to restore my iPhone because I was locked.

But it won't download it this is what it says. Can you help me?

Your problem is likely caused by an issue with your connectivity to the download server, or a corrupt restoration file. You will need to manually locate the iPhone restoration file you have, and then specifically reference it when attempting to restore. If, however, you are working to restore from a downloaded image, you will need to download the file in advance. This can be most easily accomplished by simply opening iTunes, connecting your iPhone, and leaving it overnight to download.

My iPad touch 2, when I try to update the Version, after a while it starts, and then shows me a message error no 11556?

How do I fix the error message 11556 on my iPad?

The message you are encountering is caused by either a firewall or antivirus setting on your computer, or the parental control setting. Alternatively, you could also be in a restricted country, where the operation you are attempting to perform is not supported by iTunes (you can use a VPN or Proxy to get around this). Otherwise, you can disable your firewall and turn off any antivirus to see if that is your problem, or you can disable parental controls by following these steps:

Any reason my iPhone will not come out of recovery mode? I've changed security options, confirmed a good internet connection and updated iTunes, but the phone will only show the Apple logo over and over again. Any advice?
