She does not want to give you the cash, so ask her to pay for one of the bills that you used as proof or if you have already paid the bill, ask her to assist you in your rent or water bill by paying them directly. Your mother has trust issues with you for something that must have happened in the past so take yourself out of the equation and ask her to pay for your situation to the correct parties involved that you owe. Hopefully, then she will assist you. You should also try for other means like a payday loan or government assistance to show her that you are not just using her to bail you out of financial trouble.

Want my son to get help rather than prison?

My son's house was raided and he faces prison time

The seriousness of the crimes he is being charged with will determine whether you can get him help in exchange for prison time. You will need proof of his issues like a letter from a Mental Health Professional if he has mental health issues and you want him in a psychiatric treatment program. If he has drug or alcohol dependency problems, you will need to prove to the courts that a rehabilitation for him is needed however, many courts will allow a person to serve some of their time in rehabilitation programs but if they spend 6 months out of a 1 year sentence in rehabilitation, they still will have to serve out the remainder of the year in prison. There are many cities that have local community organizers that deal with gang violence rehabilitation and drug trafficking and see if there is an organization in your area. They provide resources for parents like you that want to see their son turn his life around. All of these mentioned above, ultimately depend on your son proving to the court that he needs help and is willing to accept the help that the court provides.

Help for adult son with mental issues?

Hello, I'm trying to help my adult son who has chronic mental problems. He was issued a trespassing citation at the airport in another state. He was traveling and got turned around, and confused at the airport. The police took him to the hospital, and not to jail. While he was in the hospital out of state, that state sent him a notice to appear in court. I called the court because it's a misdemeanor, hoping to get the charges dropped; or at least not to have to drive back to Michigan and just have my son pay a fine. I was told to write a letter to the judge by the probation department. I was wondering is there anyone else I should write regarding this matter?. I have tried: I talked to a law clerk in the probation department. I couldn't get anyone else on the phone, because all other options were automated.. I think it was caused by: He has a mental condition, and got confused at the airport.
