I'm actually looking for answers for S3 but is a similar problem?

My S3 simply turned off after unplugging it from charging on my computers USB. When I remove the battery it will vibrate, show Samsung, then "Galaxy S III" then goes black. I've done this several times but it never boots up. Any ideas?. I have tried: Holding the power on, volume, & home buttons at the same time, charging, switching batteries. I think it was caused by: The last thing done was plugging it in my computer USB to charge

Samsung S2 power up problem - need to resolve?

During transit back to Australia from USA my Samsung Galaxy (S2?) will not boot up properly now. It will restart but stop only displaying a white Samsung logo then backlights with blue then back to black. I was having some problems with the phone locking up in the USA, then restarting with degraded battery power and needing to have the battery removed and the phone recharged. I have a lot of family photos and videos on the phone that I don't want to lose. Can you suggest anything?
