How do I get my Lexar secure USB flash drive to show up?

Haven't backed up in ages because I can't remember how to get the device to show up. It only flashes for a second in the "Computer" window (as the F drive?) and even when I manage to click on it nothing happens. I believe the mfr. default was to leave it hidden so I left it that way when formatting but I have long since forgotten how to access it. I have followed instructions to show hidden files. No way.

Can't see files on my "Home" PC I downloaded onto a flash drive from my "Work" PC?

I downloaded several types of files from my "Work" PC onto an 8G flash drive. These were CAD files Excel, Word, and Adobe formats. I brought the flash drive home to work on them over the holidays. When I tried to open the flash drive on my "Home" PC The drive shows as empty! I know there is about 2G of data on this drive. I went back into my office thinking I had done something wrong. When I opened the drive on my work PC there were all the files. I was able to open and save the files onto the flash drive. Once I got back home and went to view the files on my Home PC again it showed the drive as empty. I was able to see the files on one computer but not another! I have tried: I followed all of the suggestions listed to view "Hidden" files. I think it was caused by: I don't understand why I can see the files on one PC but not another.

Well at first the problem was seeing a shortcut for my flash alone, opening it I saw my usual files. but when I dragged some files onto the flash, what happened was that the shortcut disappeared completely. I have tried going through the tutorial you stated first on this article, but nothing has happened. What can I do? Thank you
