How to can I tell if a Samsung Grand is original or fake?
In the Indian market, many dealers sell phones and claim they are brought from Korea, but then they sell them at half of the market price. I'm confused, and unsure of how to tell if they are original or not. These phones also have the same logos as if they were made by Samsung.
Sadly, you can't get something for nothing (or even for half the price). Dealers are in business to make money, so if they are selling you a phone at half of the market price, it means they purchased it for even less than that. If this was the case, why would anyone pay full price for a regular Samsung? Why would these dealers even have an inventory, because everyone would want to buy them. Just imagine the money you could make if these phones were real and you sold them in the UK or the US.
In this case, the dealers know the phones are fake, but they are expecting that you won't be able to tell. They will let you know later that they were told that the phones were real from Korea, so the problem is with Korea, and not with the dealer.
You should also be able to compare the original device to a fake device. Many times a fake device will weigh more, because of cheap glass, have a different quality battery, or obvious defects in the workmanship or spacing of components.
