If you've forgotten your Cherry mobile Amethyst's lock screen password, the first thing you should try is to unlock your phone by entering your Google account information. To do this, enter the wrong lock screen password up to 20 times. Then, enter your Google account information when your phone prompts you to do so; your phone will unlock to allow you to change or remove the lock screen password so you can use your phone again. If you have forgotten your Google account information, you can go to this Google website to try to recover it. If you can't recover your information, your phone does not ask for your account information, or if you never logged into a Google account, to begin with, you will need to perform a Factory Reset on your Cherry mobile Amethyst Android phone. As you may already know, a Factory Reset will wipe all of your phone's data and bring it back to its original factory settings to remove the password so you can get into your phone again. To learn how to perform a proper Factory Reset on your phone, read through and follow the steps in this great VisiHow article. Once the reset is complete, be sure to write down the lock screen password on a piece of paper so you can refer to it in the future if you forget the lock screen password again. Keep this paper in a secure and safe place, so it doesn't get lost or stolen. Also, be sure to log your device into a Google account to which you know the password.

Remove the home button from the hard reset instructions and see if that works. You should still be able to use your Google Account though to login.
