The fastest way is to install this program onto your computer: http://www.recovery-android.com/android-transfer.html. Android Transfer will allow you to save SMS messages directly to your computer.

You can also open https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.idea.backup.smscontacts&hl=en to install the SMS Back-up utility for your phone. Open the utility and tap on "SMS Backup". Tap on "Backup" to export all of your conversations or "Backup Conversations" to select the messages that you want to export. Name the back-up file and tap on "OK". The messages will be transferred to your SD card in an XML file that you can open on your PC or Mac.

My phone is almost full, and I would like to transfer a bunch of files from the internal memory to an internal SIM card?

It is not a problem. I am just looking for a way to do this on my Galaxy S4

Unfortunately, you cannot move much to the SIM card, but if you have a microSD card, you can do that. To move files from your internal memory to the microSD card, you will need a file manager. Your phone may have My Files pre-installed, but you can also use ES File Explorer, Android File Manager, or X-Plore File Manager. Whatever you choose, open it and navigate to the internal memory. Locate folders like "Music", "DCIM", "Camera", "Videos", etc. Then, either press the menu key to view options to select and move files or simply tap on the check box beside the file or folder to mark it. Ensure that, after you select the files, you choose "Transfer", "Move" or "Cut". Do not use "copy", as it will keep the original files intact. Then, navigate to the microSD card (or sdcard) and paste (or insert) the files. The files will be removed from the internal memory and placed onto the memory card.
