How to speed up my rooted sprint Galaxy S4 modded hotspot flashed?
I am running my Xbox with Xbox Live online multiplayer gaming and my Galaxy S4 is classified with a "strict" net setting. On a router this is as simple as accessing the router's default login menu and changing settings to open up ports. I would like to know if there is a way to do the same on my Galaxy S4 to make it open for better Xbox Live online quality? Thank you ahead of time for all of your help.
Your Samsung Galaxy S4's hotspot should not be used for online gaming. Cellular networks, like the one your phone connects to, have very high latency. Latency is the measure of time between when your phone sends a request for data and then actually receives the data. The higher it is, the longer amount of time between those two things. To relate it to your online gaming: higher latency from your phone equates to a longer time between when you press the button and when everyone else in the game actually sees the result of the press. Cellular networks are not made for gaming, which is why you're having an issue. Connect to your home's internet connection for a high-quality gaming experience.
Galaxy S4 to iPad mini tethering?
I am thinking of getting my wife an iPad mini but wondered whether it would be possible to set up a WiFi hotspot for it from her phone when away from normal WiFi signals?
