I can't seem to unlock my Alcatel Pop because bottom three dots do not work?

I know the pattern to unlock it but the Back, Home, and Recent pages Buttons Plus the bottom three dots on the pattern password don't work at all so I am unable to complete the pattern. I have not come across an article that talks about bottom buttons on screen not functioning. if there is one, I would love to be directed towards it, please and thank you. I have tried: 1.restarting it

2.answering calls to be able to my home screen and remove password

3. Android device manager to set a password but didn't work because I already had a password set

4.swiped screen down to access settings. I think it was caused by: My son threw it on the ground and maybe this was its last time before giving in, or maybe it has water damage, I noticed the sticker on back is red

Open the back of the phone and take out the battery. Firmly place your fingers in a swiping motion over the back of the phone while applying pressure the front screen. Your son may have dislodged a wire or connection when he dropped the phone. If this does not work then you may need a new screen and LCD. The red dot means that your phone/battery was damp or had contact with moisture at some point.
