How to recover Android Tablet pattern?
Forgot the password of may Tablet since I log in
If you forgot your password for your Android Tablet, there are two ways for you to unlock the Tablet. First is by recovering the password and the second option is by performing a Hard Reset on your Tablet for you to log back in.
How to recover your password or pattern:
This can only be done if the Tablet is still connected to the internet. If you left the WiFi connection as being enabled on the device or 3G connection if this is a 3G capable Tablet then you just need to attempt to unlock it until it shows a forgot pattern or password. Once you see the forgot pattern then select it and enter your email address and password for the Tablet to generate the correct password to be sent to your email. Make sure it is the correct email address, once you have entered the email address and it was being accepted simply go to your computer and access the email address then view it to unlock the Tablet and re-login.
Resetting the Tablet will cause data loss. When you say reset, that means that you are resetting the device to default values its basically erasing all the contents you added in the Tablet and all that will be left behind are the apps you downloaded and what are on the SD card. Resetting the Tablet varies per manufacturer, anyhow you can try the generic pattern to reset the Tablet to factory settings:
1. Turn off the Tablet
2. Try the following button sequence:
Press and hold Volume Up + Power button
Press and hold Volume Down + Power button
Press and hold Volume Up + Home button then Power
Press and hold Volume Down + Home button then Power
3. Use the volume keys to highlight Wipe data and reset then press power or the home to select. After that select yes to start
4. After the reset on the Tablet, go back to the first menu then select reboot.
Once the Tablet has been rebooted, you need to configure the device when you first got it.
You will have to provide the email (Gmail) and password you used to sync your Google Play store . You have to be connected via WiFi or data connection. If not, you will have to do a Hard Reset. Do the following to do a Factory Reset:
NOTE: This will delete all user data and apps on your Tablet
- turn off your Tablet
- press the following:
volume up/down or both
home button (if any)
or look for a reset button/hole (http://screencast.com/t/fzfGvTOTJlV)
- release buttons when you see the logo
