How to free memory on Android 6.0 my phone is unusable?

I cannot free memory. for example in "internal storage " it shows 589 MB for images but when click on images I see only two pictures one is 48.77 kb and the other is 20.29 kb and one more 17.46 kb. How the calculation of images is 589? what is taking the rest of the memory through images? What is using the memory through images. How to delete the images that I cannot even see. I have tried: I cleaned cached data and tried to delete the images that is taking 589 MB but was not able to do so. I think it was caused by: I was making a video that took all the memory and stopped recording and saved the video due to lack of memory
