How to fix unknown baseband version?

Mobile network cannot be accessed any longer. The phone no longer reads any SIM card while the SIM card functions properly on other phones. Also the network icon indicates the phone is always in flight mode

The unknown baseband version error often stems from a system folder corrupting itself. You could try backing up and then resetting your device to factory defaults (guide here: Perform a factory reset on Android Device), which should reset everything back to the way it was when you first got the phone.
