How to fix my Samsung Galaxy S4 clone's startup sequence?

After formatting my Samsung Galaxy S4 clone, whenever I restart or open my phone, it always starts with "Android is upgrading, starting apps" before opening fully.

This problem is common after the user roots their device and flashes it with a new ROM that is a bit outdated. This causes the bootup sequence between the ROM and your phone's startup sequence to essentially become confused and your phone tries to update itself to fix the issue. If you have rooted and flashed a ROM and you're getting this message, you will need to try another ROM that has been more recently updated so you can circumvent the "Android is upgrading..." message that you've been receiving upon bootup.

However, if you did not flash a ROM to your device and you're getting this message, your cloned Samsung Galaxy S4 may be malfunctioning. Cloned devices never work as well as their genuine brethren; whereas Samsung uses quality components and build processes for their phones, clone manufacturers take the cheapest route possible to sell as many cheap phones as they can. These cloned devices fail very often and, unfortunately, there is not much you can do when that happens. You can try a factory reset by reading through this VisiHow article, but if that doesn't work, you will need to call the manufacturer of your phone and Samsung so you can report the clone maker so they can take the legal steps necessary to protect future customers from buying a clone.

I am using a S4 GT-I9505 phone in India with an Airtel SIM and have a problem with my network.

I have a network error: the signal is poor. I am using a S4 GT-I9505 phone in India with an Airtel SIM and have a problem with my network.

Try one of the solutions below.

  • Start with removing the battery for 10 minutes. Boot your smartphone up afterwards.
  • Press the home button, tap on "Apps". Tap on "Settings" > "Connections" > "More networks" > "Mobile network" > "Network mode". Tap on "GSM only" or "WCDMA only".
  • Check the network coverage on this Web page for your city. You need to get decent 2G, 3G, or 4G coverage (not on the edge of the mapped color) and to be outside to check your connection.
  • Take out the SIM card and put it back firmly.
  • Replace the SIM card.
  • Finally, reflash your Samsung as shown in this tutorial.
  • Replace your device at a Samsung center if everything else fails.
