Connect Samsung Galaxy S5 to Technika TV?

I bought an adapter online that specifies compatible with Samsung 3,4,5 etc., the HDMI goes to the TV and adapter and my phone fits to the adapter. Nothing happening HDMI 1 or 2, yet my mate's laptop connects perfectly without requiring an adapter. I have no HDMI socket on my phone. Thanks!

Check if the model of the MHL adapter is ET-H10FAUWESTA. You need this Samsung-approved device as an adapter. Do not forget to connect the adapter to a power source. Also, check the USB port of your smartphone and clean it if necessary. If the pin is bent inside, then you should straighten it so that it is in the middle. Your other option is using a Chromecast device, which should be bought and can be set up by using this article.
