How to appease your boyfriend when he's mad at you?

I hung up on my boyfriend because I was angry, but now I'm calm. I'm not sorry, he was toying with me but I want peace to reign, so I said I was, but it only agitated him further, what to do?. I have tried: Called him thrice and sent two texts. He picked up once and replied one text but he is still mad. I think it was caused by: A misunderstanding. He thinks I'm taking him for granted
