Edited by Doug Collins, Eng, vc
Hi! You're watching VisiHow. I will show you today how to set up WiFi and access the internet on your Samsung Galaxy S5.
The very first thing that we were going to do to make this happen is we're going to swipe from the top of the phone down which is going to open up our notifications panel.
So there we go, once our notification panel is opened.
The next thing that we were going to do is to tap into the box icon which going to show us all of the notifications options. As you can see we have the list of options.
On the upper left side of the phone is the WiFi option, then tap on WiFi that's going to turn on our WiFi connection.
Now our WiFi will pop up and going to ask us which link we would like to connect to.
Now we can automatically switch between WiFi and mobile network to maintain a stable internet connection if we would like to.
I'm not going to do that.
I am just going to stick with WiFi. As you can see we have a number of WiFi options to select from here.
I'm going to select this one
I believe it's the one that I need and we are going to put in our password.
So we can tap to show the password if that is something that you would like to do.
If you're worried you can type cryptically.
You can also show the advance options.
This lets type any proxy servers.
IP settings and gives you the security information and signal strength.
I don't need to have any of these, so I unchecked that and then try to connect.
If I have put in the correct WiFi password then we will be connected.
There we are, As you can see now the phone is connected and it has active details and information and we are online that all you have to do is to set up your WiFi connection.
Again, simply swipe from the top of your phone, then tap on the little icon there.
Tap on WiFi.
That is going to bring up the settings for you.
If you have already done that.
If you are already set up your WiFi and you are having some problems.
Just go to settings, then you can click on WiFi, to open your WiFi settings and you can access the same information from here.
You can turn your WiFi off from here or you can turn it back on.
You can also scan, you can also WiFi direct advance, push button, pin entry and others.
I'm not going to do that now.
Later I will show you how to set up your WiFi so that you can tether it, but that's going to be another video.
So see you on our next video. Thanks and have a great day!
