How should I make fish ball with grounded fish (fish paste)?

I want to make fish ball, but I want to use fish paste instead of fish fillet. How should I do?. I have tried: Fish paste + starch


The Chinese version of a fish ball is made with fish paste. A rule of thumb is 3 tablespoons of starch to about 1 cup of fish paste for this recipe. This will be trial and error though dependent on they type of fish paste you are using. Taste the paste to measure the salt quantity because some fish pastes are extremely salty which would mean you would not want to add salt to the fish balls. Experiment and see what ratio of flour/starch to fish paste makes a good recipe to your liking!
