Will I be okay since I've been done with bulimia?

I went to a doctor and a gastroenterologist, I told them about my history of bulimia. 2 and a half years of severe bulimia. Vomited multiple times everyday. I was told to take medication.I was also told it wouldn't heal immediately. I'd gotten over my bulimia completely and it hasn't been a year, but I fear it won't heal. It has gotten better since quitting and after 2 weeks of medication. I'm supposed to take medication for 4 to 6 weeks. Should I be concerned even though I was told that I would heal by the gastroenterologist? I been bulimia free for 7 months or a few months longer and had some improvement but lots of pain in throat and fluctuations in weight ( losing weight and gaining it back and sometimes gaining more or less weight depending). Will I be okay now that I've quit? I've had blood tests. How can I deal with my fear that I won;t heal completely?. I have tried: I've been taking medication because of acid re-flux that was brought on by bulimia.

Been on medication for 2 weeks. Some improvement. Barely any pain, except for flair ups every now and again. I think it was caused by: I think being bulimic for 2 and a half years caused this problem. I've also had flair ups in pain because of colds and stress about the situation.
