You can try to unlock your Tablet using your Google account credentials by doing the following.

  • Tap "Forgot Password" password on your screen.
  • Then sign-in with your Google account credentials.
  • This will unlock your phone.

However, this procedure needs an internet connection, so if your 3G or WiFi connection is turned off, this won't work. If this is the case, please proceed with the next method.

  • This will Hard Reset your Tablet and delete all of your data.
  • Power off your Tablet.
  • Then do the following:
    • Boot into Android system recovery by pressing Volume up and Power button at the same time until Android system recovery appears on the screen. If yours didn't boot into Android system recovery, turn it off again and try the following key combinations below until you are able to boot into Android system recovery.
    • Volume up, Home and Power key.
    • Volume down and Power key.
    • Volume up, Volume down and Power key.
    • If you are unable to access Android system recovery, I'm sorry to tell you that your Tablet might require service, you may need to contact your Tablet dealer.
  • If you have successfully booted into Android system recovery, please proceed with the following steps.
  • Select "wipe data/Factory Reset" with your volume key, then press home or power button to confirm.
  • Select "yes -- delete all user data".
  • After data wipe is complete, select "reboot system now".
  • You can now access your Tablet without the lock.

On your Android Tablet you have the ability to use your Gmail information in order to gain entry into your device successfully. If you will simply enter your information into your device you will gain back entry to your device without having to perform a Hard Reset. Once you get back into your device you will have the option to change your password in order to not have to go through this dilemma again in the future.

My problem is connecting my tablet to the internet?

I have had my tablet, a Lenovo, for two years and set everything up then. I have not had any problem with accessing the Internet until now. If I try to do so the message comes up that I am off line. Then I go to Settings and it wants a password. On entering the password it then states that the password is invalid. So it seems that I have forgotten the password. So my question is - how do I set up a new password?
