How does a homemade mosquito trap using yeast work?

The homemade mosquito trap works because the yeast emits Carbon Dioxide (CO2) which attracts mosquitoes. This is also one reason why mosquitoes are attracted to us humans and animals because of what we emit. Once they are attracted into the trap, they could hardly find a way out so they are trapped inside and they could no longer get out until they are suffocated inside.

Due to Carbon Dioxide that we emits, they are getting attracted to us. So, the yeast contains the same element in which they get attracted and when they does they become stuck on it. Then while they get too closer they became suffocated and died in the place where the yeast is.
