How do you turn on your Samsung S5 after not charging for a week?

So I left home to a different country and I haven't charged my phone in about a week, and now when I tried to turn it on by charging it, I won't turn on.. I have tried: I tried plugging it to my laptop , and also the power outlet. I tried holding the volume and on button at the same time, I took out the battery as well.. I think it was caused by: I have no clue, maybe the battery is weak?

There can be multiple reasons to that.

  • Recheck that the charging USB cable is original and intact. Replace it with another one if needed.
  • Check that you are charging from a wall socket that has power.
  • Check that the wall-socket adapter is functional.
  • Charge from the USB slot of the computer that is located on the back of it. Do not use any extension cords.
  • Finally, replace the battery with a new one. Recharging the battery directly (out of the body of the smartphone) should never be performed by qualified personnel, that is why we only offer you to replace the battery with a new one.
  • If a new battery did not help, then either the battery connector on the motherboard or the motherboard itself has gone out of order.
