LTE is not available on SM-N9005?

I bought a Samsung Galaxy Note3 SM-N9005 few months ago, and when I try to change the mode to LTE; I am not able to, I couldn't. Surprisingly the option is not even there in the first place. I tried my very best to access the LTE option. As far as I know SM-N9005 is an LTE capable device, it says that even in the manual. But still I am having a headache, let me know if maybe the software (OS) might prevent it or anything that might help me figure out the problem. The very first reason that I bought this phone is only for its LTE feature.

How do I know if the tablet I bought is authentic or used?

I purchased a Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 for my daughter for Christmas. The box is torn and one side is not taped. I viewed an image of the box and it appears authentic however it doesn't seem packaged properly. I purchased this from a web site called Tanga. It is supposed to be new. I have not yet contacted them since I just opened it. Any information you can provide so I can try to authenticate this, would be appreciated.
