How do I unlock a phone without a Google account?

I am trying to access the files on an old phone, but I don't remember my pattern lock and my Google account is now active on another phone

You can actually use the same Google account on multiple Android devices. Try the pattern lock code a few more times and see if the phone prompts you to enter your Gmail login info. If it does, simply log in with the same account that you used to set up the phone.

You will have to provide the email (Gmail) and password you used to sync your Google Play store with. But you have to be connected via data connection or WiFi. If not, you will have to do a Hard Reset.

How can I unlock my Android after forgetting the password?

I reset my phone password because the screen showed where I used a pattern lock. When resetting the password, I made a typo in the password. I cannot get the password to work, nor does my phone have a "forgot password" button. What do I do?

If you accidentally created a password which is different from the one that you wanted and could no longer unlock the phone due to it, and the phone does not have a forgot password, then the only option you have is to Hard Reset the device which will erase the data in your internal storage but not what is on the SD card.

Resetting an Android device has three methods, but it depends on the manufacturer of your device. The methods are:

  1. 1
    Accessing Android Recovery Menu
    :
Accessing the recovery menu requires you to press some buttons to access it. Such as Volume keys, home button and power to wipe the data and to set it back to default.

  2. 2
    Poke a reset hole
    :
Some manufacturers made a reset hole in their devices which you just need to poke and hold it for 1 minute.

  3. 3

If it is showing the "you have entered the password incorrectly, please wait after XX seconds", you will have to enter the wrong passcode more until you reach the "account locked" screen which will ask for your email and password. The email is a Gmail account which you used to sync with your Google Play store. You will have to be connected to the internet via WiFi or data connection to be able to reset the passcode successfully. If not, you will have to do a Factory Reset. Do the following to perform a Hard Reset:

How can I unlock my phone without erasing the data?

I put a pattern password on my Android phone. And now I forgot what it is

The only way to use your phone and reset the password (without deleting all data) is by providing the email (Gmail) and password. You have to be connected to the internet via data connection or WiFi to do it. If not, the only way to use the phone is by doing a Hard Reset which will delete all apps and data.

Can you help me find a way to provide Gmail verification for my account in order to get into my phone?

Samsung Galaxy Express 3 has been reset. The email I used to access Google play store was never used for actual email purposes. Upon reset I must verify the account but I never needed that password until now. I set the security on my Yahoo email to be verified by texting my phone with a code so I can't enter that to get... its all too confusing. I simply need to find a way to verify who I am to recover my Gmail password.
